Blog Post #3 Assignment
This Chuseok which is Korean thanksgivingday was quite long holiday. When I saw calendar fist of this month, I was so excited and happy. So I planned many things to do.
First, I met my high school graduates. It has been so long time since I saw them last. So It was glad to meet them. We got drunken, and we were talking about memories of ours.
Second, I went to head family's house with my parents the day before chuseok and my cousins and I dropped by relative's house for greeting.
We ate so many foods which are Songpyeon, Jeon, and some tranditional foods. In the night I went to billiard hall with cousins and karaoke with family. It was so fun.
Third, I went to Nami island in Gapyeong with my uni friends. We had BBQ party with Soju and beers and we played games. The weather was very nice.
Finally, relatives on the mother's side came to my house yesterday. We talked a lot. Because we can't meet each other frequently. I don't know why, maybe we live far from each other.
Actually I was so lonely last year chuseok holiday. Because I was in Canada at that time. I was missing my family and Korean foods. But I'm very happy now.
I like national holidays 'cause we meet relatives and do something special. :)

A person who I admire or respect.
Blog Post #2 Assignment
I admire Ban Ki-moon who is UN Secretary-General. He was born in Eumseong-gun Chungcheongbuk-do, in 1944. His famliy moved to Chungju where he was raised. When he was child, his father had a own business. However the business went bankrupt so his family became poor. When he was six, unfortunately there was Korean war. So his famliy was going poorer than before. Even though he was in these situation, he had strong passion for learning English. As a result, he entered Seoul National University for studying International Relations and he received a B.A. in 1970. After that he earned a Master of Public Administration at Harvard University which is John F. Kennedy School of Government in 1985. Also he earned Master degree of Laws at University of Malta on 22 April 2009 and receiced an honorary degree of Doctor of Laws at University of Washington in 2009.
And then he was the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea from 2004 to 2006. Now he is UN Secretary-General.

Why do I respect him?
I don't admire his position. I want to talk about his personalities. When I read a book about him which is 'Study as a fool, dream as a genius'(I'm not sure exactly, the title is Korean.) He always try to learn somethings. For instance, he is native Korean but he speaks English, German, French, and Japanese. When I knew that I was surprised. I thought even though he is an old man, his passion of learning foreign languege is great.
Also he make full use of remained time effectively. In addition, he has good relationship with people, is very modest, is always willing to help somebody etc. I can't say everything.
I think there are many things to learn from him. So I usually think about his attitudes when I do something.
I'm totally sure it's going to be good for me.
What am I going to do?
I attach his official homepage : http://www.un.org/sg/
